He moves his hand so that it's his thumb pressing against her, kisses her again.

She has no idea what he is saying, but it tastes like spice and fire and makes her head spin, dizzy and breathless and she can feel her resolve crumble into dust.

The orgasm takes her like a storm, pulling her under before she can even begin to fight it. Her arms give way, collapsing again hist chest as she cries out, fire spreading down her limbs, all the way to her fingertips. She's rocked by aftershocks, legs shaking, entire body trembling.

"Te amo," he replies, because getting his brain to switch languages right now is a roll of the dice instead of a focused effort; his focused effort is lost in the spaces between her breaths, the weight of her in his arms.

He knows he won't be able to keep up much longer before his nervous system gleefully overloads. In fact it is one of those aftershocks that finally pushes him past the edge, hips still rocking into her even as he buries his face in her hair. His fingers leave her clit and his hands rub large circles on the expanse of her back as he tries to work himself back into his own skin.

It's more difficult than he would have expected. He feels like a live wire left lying too close to running water, with everything he is threatening to spill out of him in an instant.

Jyn feels whole for the first time in... forever. Hollowed out so all the bad parts are gone and filled up with something new and wonderful and beautiful. She knows it won't last, but she's grateful the moments exist at all.

She doesn't say anything as she tries to slow her breathing, in time with his movements across her back, nosing at his throat affectionately. She does not realize that silence because she is too tired and breathless to speak was one of those things he asked for.

Serendipitous though.

He chuckles, because her breath tickles against his skin, but he tucks his cheek in against her hair anyway just in case she was thinking of pulling away. Both arms come up to her shoulders to wrap around her and maybe it's odd, to embrace her after this, but.

Well. It's happening, either way.

With her close Cassian presses a kiss to her forehead.

Jyn doesn't find it odd. Jyn also had no intention of moving from this exact spot so it all worked perfectly. She can feel a chill run up her spine as the sweat on their still bodies catches the air. She nestles into him, feeling the tenderness of her cheeks from his stubble. After a long while, heartbeat finally steady and sure, she braces her forearms against his chest to look down at him; hair a disheveled halo, cheeks pink, eyes glowing, mouth solemn.

"Let's go again."

There's a noise of surprise, because Cassian is still feeling boneless and pre-verbal, but he does reach up and run his finger along her cheek.

"Do you want to stay on top? Is that a silly question?"

Softly smirking.

[realists]

She coaxes her expression into something mock offended, but she still looks so blissfully relaxed and carefree it doesn't really work. The crease between her eyes softens in seconds.

"No, I do not." Not that she makes any indication she's going to budge right now. "I want to try everything. Everywhere."

[ouzel]

He has to chuckle at that, reaching up to run his fingers through her hair in the hopes of smoothing it down just a little. Possibly a lost cause, but, well. It's an excuse to touch.

"Me too." His smirk goes a little wry. "We are going to be insufferable, aren't we?"

[realists]

"You're already insufferable," she reminds him sweetly. Jyn might definitely become a little more insufferable. "But we could always stay in bed and never leave and then no would have to suffer. I'll give up everywhere for all the time."

[ouzel]

"Am I really?" He knows what her answer will be, so he's not sure why he's asking. "And here I thought I was easygoing."

The idea of staying in bed with her, forever, is appealing, but: "We'll have to eat sometime." Unless she just wants to fuck to death which...ok he has some reservations about that idea.

[realists]

"I'm not very hungry," she counters, though Jyn isn't often hungry anymore and since Cassian is usually the one trying to coax her to eat it's not a particularly good argument. "Come on, Cassian. Everything out there is boring. But here?"

She tiptoes her fingers up his chest, dragging nails across his jaw. "Here is fun."

[ouzel]

"I know," is all he says to that, because he does and he worries and telling her the latter might burst the little bubble they've created between them right now.

Still. She touches, he shudders, and he knows that he would probably give her anything she wanted if she asked. Even this, an escape from his life in her arms instead. "Okay," Cassian says thickly. "For now."

[realists]

For now is good enough for Jyn, shifting the tiniest bit so she is not directly on top of him, but remains curled against him. Her eyes close, kissing his chest where she can hear his heart beat.

"For now sounds perfect."

[ouzel]

Cassian has no protests towards this, just a silent bemusement that she does, actually, like him enough for all this. That sharing a bed with him is more than just the anxiety of not knowing where the other is, the uselessness of trying to sleep. It's selfish, he thinks, but he's never had someone he could learn before.

He wants to learn everything she likes, just so he can make it even better.

"We should take a bath," he says after some minutes have passed.

[realists]

"We already took a shower." This is untrue, of course, sitting under the cold spray of the shower doesn't count and then they proceeded to get nice and sweaty so a bath would probably be the best course of action.

But still. "Now?"

[ouzel]

"We sat under cold water and got our clothes wet while doing nothing fun," is Cassian's retort to that. Still, he smiles at her. "I want to taste you and I think it'd be better after a bath. But I can wait, if you want."

[realists]

Oh boy howdy that was not what she was expecting to hear and she squirms against him at the idea of it, legs twists across each other, a rush of a breath, feeling hot all over.

"No, no, we don't have to wait." She tries for casual. She does not succeed.

[ouzel]

"Ah, you like that idea," he teases, just a little. It's nice to see her squirm a bit, better still to be the reason for it. "How hot do you like the water?"

It's a silly sort of thing, but important. He doesn't want to turn her into a lobster.

[realists]

She is pale enough that any type of heat will turn her skin pink, especially if he keeps teasing her like this.

"Burning?" Is that an option. So hot that she can't breathe is usually what she favors but she doesn't know if that's reasonable right now.

[ouzel]

"What about close to, but not quite?" As interesting as it might be to play with the idea of her being overstimulated before they even get started, Cassian also ins't sure how much of this they'll manage outside of the tub in the first place.

[realists]

Her nose wrinkles with begrudging acceptance. "If we must."

[ouzel]

He can always wait and see just what sort of happy medium they reach but in the meantime, there's untangling himself from her and getting up, naked and (mostly) unashamed about it, just to start running a bath in the attached tiny, tiled room.

There's an entire cabinet filled with small jars of salts and oils and Cassian perches on the edge of the tub as he turns each one in his hands. "Pink, purple, or blue?" He finally asks, when he can't narrow down the options any further.

Eventually they'll be back on Yavin where things are less...nice, and he wonders about that. Worries, really. Jyn deserves nice things and this place has been good for healing and distractions, but what happens after?

[realists]

Jyn watches him walk away with rapt attention, lips pressed together to keep from smiling, gathering the pillow up in her arms eventually to hide her spreading grin. Once she hears the water start, she spreads herself across the mattress and wriggles around in helpless delight, tangling herself up in the sheets, pulling the pillow over her face to muffle a shriek of happiness, like she needs to let some out before she explodes.

It takes a second for her to answer him, dragging herself out of the blankets and wrapping the sheet around her like a glittering gown. She tip toes into the bathroom and, now that she is upright and not an over-excited puddle of hormones, it's easy to see the differencd in how she holds herself. Same perfect posture, but her spine doesn't seem to be made of steel anymore, something more willing and pliable. She holds the sheet to her chest, head tipping curiously.

"What are you going on about? Water hasn't got a color, elskede."

[ouzel]

"But these oils do." He holds up the pink vial in particular, bemused smile at seeing her all wrapped up in the sheet like a princess of bedding. If it weren't for the promise of warm water and what was to come he'd be hard pressed not to just gather her up in his arms as she is and take her back to bed again.

"Or we could just stick with the basics."
